Completed – June 2020
Located in the artsy riverside area of the Hammersmith district in London, this Victorian house has received a complete interior re-design including a brand new rear extension.
We’ve added a large glass panel which is facing the garden and smoothly connects to the sloped roof skylights.
Black steel frame doors open up into the garden, connecting the kitchen and garden to form an organic space during the summery days.
At the centre of the kitchen is the cooking island, which is covered in a flashy natural stone block that strikes the rather minimalistic space with a splash of colour and boldness. The cooking stove is designed to face the garden and feature glazing. Oak feature slats are separating the kitchen from the new basement stairs. Main kitchen cupboards and appliances are located on the kitchen’s long elevation. This leaves space for the new island and family’s dining table.
